Welp, the time has come. Full tank of gas a nd about to head out to hopefully hit 200,000. If you don’t hear back from me by the end of the day.... then the Camry blew up or something.

Beat ya.

This was on my old 2001 Golf. My wife was driving that day, and bless her heart, she pulled over and took a photo for me. It had about 215k when a drunk totaled it in front of my house.

Nice. My brother took a Mk4 to 273k and traded it in for $500 burning a quart of oil every 100 miles with no 2nd gear left, multiple floor holes, and no locks.

I aspire to the same as him. 2nd is getting tricky when it’s cold out, but I’ve got no rust holes, the locks all work, and it doesn’t leak oil, weirdly. The most likely fate at this point is being stolen.

It gave as good as it got, though. The Focus that hit it was in far worse shape. I link to think it gave its life to protect the Civic in the driveway that we had bought about a week earlier.
